We have exciting news to share at EACLIPT! Following recent developments within our board, we are delighted to announce the election of Prof. Dr. Lisbeth Frostholm as our new Treasurer. This decision came after board member Prof. Dr. Caroline Braet, who was elected during the regular board elections in 2022, decided to withdraw from the board for personal reasons. The board-internal election took place in December 2023, and Lisbeth will officially assume her duties starting with our upcoming conference in March.
Prof. Frostholm brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. As a Professor of Health Psychology at the Department of Clinical Medicine and a Lead Psychologist at the Department of Functional Disorders & Psychosomatics and Department of Clinical Psychology at Aarhus University Hospital in Denmark, her academic journey is impressive. With a PhD from Aarhus University focusing on illness perceptions in primary care patients, Prof. Frostholm has continued to hone her skills with specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She has held various academic leadership positions, is actively involved in the supervision of PhD students, teaching of Medical Students, and leads multiple research projects both nationally and internationally.
President of EACLIPT, Prof. Dr. Chantal Martin-Sölch, commented on Prof. Frostholm's appointment, stating, "We are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Lisbeth Frostholm to our board. Her extensive experience in health psychology and dedication to evidence-based practices align perfectly with our mission as a non-profit member-run association fostering evidence-based clinical psychology in Europe. We are confident that her insights and leadership will greatly contribute to our organization's objectives."
Prof. Frostholm's appointment strengthens EACLIPT's Board and signifies a substantial step forward in developing a personnel setup driving EACLIPT's mission forward. As a non-profit member-run association, we are committed to fostering evidence-based clinical psychology in Europe and driving positive change within our field. We look forward to the valuable contributions that Prof. Frostholm will bring to our organization as we continue to advance our mission and serve our members.
