Exciting news for the field of clinical psychology and for open-access publishing in Europe: Clinical Psychology in Europe (CPE), the official journal of EACLIPT, has received its very first Impact Factor, and it’s an impressive 2.4.
This is a major achievement for a journal that was launched just a few years ago with a clear mission to make high-quality psychological science freely accessible to everyone. As a Diamond Open Access journal, CPE ensures that neither authors nor readers pay, making it a truly inclusive platform for scientific exchange.
This first Impact Factor is more than a metric. It is a recognition of the journal’s scientific quality, the dedication of its editorial team, and the trust of the clinical psychology community. From being indexed in Web of Science to now earning this strong debut Impact Factor, CPE is clearly gaining visibility and influence.
Congratulations to the editorial leadership: Cornelia Weise, Winfried Rief, and Nadine Messerli-Bürgy, and to all the contributors, reviewers, and supporters who helped make this possible. A huge thank you as well to ZPID – Leibniz Institute for Psychology and PsychOpen for their essential role as publishing partners.
This is a proud moment for European clinical psychology. It shows that open, rigorous, and collaborative science is not only possible but impactful.
